The USS Intrepid, a National Historic Landmark, is a vital part of America’s history. Experience science, history, and service at the Intrepid Museum as you explore the 900-foot aircraft carrier. This iconic ship fought in World War II, served during the Cold War, and participated in the Vietnam War. Discover aircraft from World War II to the present day, and see the Space Shuttle Enterprise—one of only four institutions to receive a retired Space Shuttle. Climb aboard the Submarine Growler, the only American guided-missile submarine open to the public. You’ll have time to enjoy a meal on your own at the Intrepid, where two cafes are available on-site. Learn how to paint the vibrant and nuanced colors of autumn in New England. Skills covered in this course include watercolor techniques, sketching tips, and color mixing. Create a painting of your favorite autumn landscape or foliage study. The instructor will provide a supply list before the first class.

Taught by a graduate of the University of Parma (Italy), grow your confidence in understanding and speaking Italian through a mix of listening, reading, and writing activities. The instructor will email a PDF binder to the students that she has designed and made, in which they can follow all the PowerPoint slides of the lessons with the grammar, glossary, and activities. In this beginner course, learn the basic techniques of cutting, grinding, foiling, and assembling a beautiful 3D-stained glass hanging star. A $20 materials fee is payable to the instructor at the first class.
