This course will help you explore how to join your fragmented memories into shareable stories. In this course, practice writing personal experiences as compelling narratives. Recommended textbook: Learn to Write Your Memoir in 4 Weeks by Jerry Waxler (ISBN: 978-0977189595).

Irish Language for the Beginner (In-Person) Torrington

Learn how to greet people, talk about your family, and where you live. Speak simple sentences to carry on a basic conversation. The emphasis of this course is conversation.

Introduction to Digital Photography (In-Person) Torrington
with Charles Unitas
This course will introduce you to your DSLR or mirrorless digital camera, teaching you how to use its settings to capture consistently better images with strong compositions. Learn about the “exposure triangle”, how to handle challenging lighting, and the fundamentals of good composition. Students must bring their digital cameras - cell phones are not permitted.

AARP Smart Driver Course (In-Person) Litchfield
In this refresher class offered by AARP for drivers aged 50 and older, students will review the challenges faced by aging drivers and learn strategies for staying safe and confident on the road. Please bring your AARP card to class if you have one. A fee is due at the time of class, payable to “AARP”: $20 for members and $25 for nonmembers.

Mushroom Hunting for Beginners (Online)

Discover the skills and knowledge needed to safely identify wild mushrooms. Learn where to search for edible varieties, how to distinguish them from poisonous species, and the key characteristics to look for in the field. The course will also utilize field guides and identification tools.
