According to American artist John Singer Sargent, “A portrait is a picture in which there is just a tiny little something not quite right about the mouth.” In this course, explore sketching techniques and facial proportions while gaining valuable experience in sketching portraits with ShawnaLee, a board member of the CT Society of Portrait Artists. Students will complete several portrait sketches throughout the course. A recommended materials list will be emailed to students before the first class.
